Tokyo University of the Arts is currently implementing an “Inter-University Exchange Program (IUEP)” among the UK, Australia, India and Japan. IUEP is an initiative launched by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) to cultivate global talent for participation at the international level, and to strengthen the global capacity of university education. It aims to support study abroad by Japanese students and the strategic intake of foreign students through education partnerships with universities in target countries and regions.

We aim to create international arts education and research programs that promote sustainability and train global leaders through interlocal learning in social practice.

This program invites Master and PhD students from Monash University to Tokyo University of the Arts for a 1-month residency. During this period, participants will conduct their own research related to “SDGs x Arts” from various perspectives, encompassing daily life and art practice.

Please bring your idea and implement your own research in Japan for one month.
