【Nagoya】Post-SDGs Study Tour on Food Security in Japan (March 1–8, 2026)

From March 1 to March 8, 2026, the Post-SDGs Study Tour on Food Security in Japan brought together undergraduate and graduate students from the University of Western Australia (4), Nagoya University (6), and Gifu University (1), representing the fields of agriculture, science, and food science.
The study tour aimed to promote understanding of food security in Japan through academic, industrial, and field-based learning, focusing on Australian and Japanese wheat varieties, flour quality for milling and processing, and their roles in noodle production.
The program included lectures at Nagoya University and Gifu University, laboratory experiments at Gifu University, hands-on training at NIPPN Flour Mills Company, and a field visit to observe wheat cultivation and quality evaluation.
The study tour contributed to advancing academic exchange and collaboration between students from Japan and Australia.
